Introducing Billy...

Such a long time since I posted anything here for the truth of the matter is I have nothing much to post regarding travel. However a few interesting things have happened to change my life. Billy, a two year old black miniture poodle took up residence at the end of last year, after having been abandoned in the local park.

I call him my personal trainer! he has me out walkiing two or three times a day - a pleasure right now but a necessary chore in the middle of a Toronto winter.

We went to obedience school and I rapidly learnt to be very obedient - Billy on the otherhand is only obedient when it suits him. We have had a few exciting moments such as when we went to the beach and he took off to investigate an open but unattended picnic basket - he had scoffed half a rubarb pie before I got to him and then had to go in search of the baskets' owner and fess up. He was justifyably furious but then he did leave it open!!!

I am having another show of my quilts and wall hangings in November in the Arcadia Gallery and will participate in the group christmas show also in the Arcadia Gallery.

In August I will be at the Distillery art and craft show. Saturday and Sunday August 9th and 10th. If you are in the area do come by and visit me. I have a nice line of reversable tote bags for $20 each and of course will have quilts and wall hangings on show.

Also in August there is a 50/50 art sale in the Arcadia Gallery, as a fund raiser for the development of our performance space. Opening reception is Thursday August 7th from 6 - 8.30 p.m. The sale will go on through August with viewings at any time by appointment and open to the general public weekends from noon to 5.00 p.m. Lots of interesting art, from $20, along with frames and books. Telephone me at 416 260 6669 if you would like an appointment to view.

I hope to see you at one of these events. I nthe meantime, have a great summer.
